Problems addressed
Future-proofing our towns and cities with energy efficient and adaptable urban structures, robust and integrated planning for transit oriented development, urban regeneration and 'brown field' development, improving walkability, mix of uses, fostering regional area character and improving living conditions in our towns and cities as a whole are all problems addressed by good urban design. We attempt to improve our urban areas in a comprehensive way. The issues that we are seeking to address are complex and sophisticated and the solutions need to match this. As a signatory to the New Zealand Urban Design Protocol, Urban Design Network Limited is committed to creating quality urban design, as defined by the seven C�s of the Protocol.

Biography
Timo is an experienced urban designer with an international track record of managing and developing interdisciplinary teams. He has a strong conceptual background and is enthusiastic about complex town centre revitalisation, urban regeneration projects, transit oriented development and about the creation of walkable communities. Comfortable at high level structure planning, transit oriented transport planning, spatial master planning, as well as detailed architectural and public realm design.
