Communicating sustainability via mass media with the aim of enhancing public knowledge and altering public perceptions of related issues. This is done by taking into account the psychological aspects of effective communication. With increased public awareness and appreciation of the issues, and enabling sustainable consumption policies all categories listed in the systems-level approach can be addressed.
