SANZ Roadmap for a Sustainable Aotearoa New Zealand

phase2
STATUS SD PRACTITIONERS GENERAL PUBLIC GOVERNMENT
Presently... Have built up significant knowledge and expertize as individuals and in groups. But both are underutilized. Has innate empathy for the issues, and a growing interest, but this interest is stunted by limited or inaccessible sustainable development (SD) information. Has a growing awareness of the issues. Has begun to develop and implement some responses, but is prevented from pursuing a comprehensive program because of the fragmented nature of the information available at policy development level, and because of the absence of an electoral mandate (which in turn is caused by the inaccessibility to the general public of quality SD information).
...so these actions are required now... 1. Collaboration to continually improve the quality of SD knowledge. This new SANZ website (phase2.org) is dedicated to this task.
2. Quality communications to significantly improve the dissemination of that knowledge. SANZ's forthcoming phase2 webzine will be dedicated to this task.
The development of mindset shift and sustainable lifestyles fueled by an increased interest and involvement in SD issues as a direct result of exposure to significantly increased levels of accessible, high quality SD information. Increased cross-party interest and involvement as a direct result of the escalation of effort and activity by both practitioners and the general public.
...to meet these conditions in the future... 3. The eventual distillation of New Zealand's unique SD knowledge into a practical, innovative blueprint for sustainable development in New Zealand. A systems-level approach and strong-sustainability model are essential for this task. A knowledgeable public whose mindset has shifted and who has developed a new, sustainable lifestyle. A fully mandated, highly-motivated government that has developed and enacted the necessary policy and legislation framework for a sustainable Aotearoa New Zealand.
...so we can achieve the ultimate goal: A sustainable Aotearoa New Zealand
